No Man Left Behind

Is all well and good, but where does it land you when you make one simple mistake in the field, taking a bullet in the chest and yet, in the end, still couldn’t save a fallen fellow Marine?

“No Man Left Behind” plays well for the public, as well as our espirit de corps, but what happens when “no man left behind” suddenly becomes “YOUR man left behind.”?

Reliving the moment nightly through endless dreams – waking in cold sweats and racing heart. When will this become “Your PAST left behind.”?

“When you go home, tell them for us and say…for your tomorrow, we gave our today”
